Hey, I'm Shannon.
I started Healthy Honeys in 2014 because I needed something that didn't exist yet. A place where women could learn about cannabis without feeling judged, confused, or sold to.
Let me back up.
I'm from Littleton, Colorado. If you know that name, you probably know why. My brother was at Columbine. I was dealing with that, my parents' divorce, all of it. I did what a lot of people do. I self-medicated. Cannabis helped me cope, but I had no idea what I was actually doing or why it worked.
Then I tried CBD for the first time, and something clicked. The anxiety quieted down. I could actually think. I wasn't high, I wasn't numb. I just felt better. Like myself again.
And I thought: why doesn't anyone talk about this? Why is it so hard for women to get real information without all the stoner stereotypes or sketchy marketing?
So I started throwing parties.
The Healthy Honeys Parties
Think Tupperware party, but way more fun.
I'd go to women's homes. Moms, professionals, grandmas, whoever was curious. We'd hang out, try products, and actually talk about how this stuff works. What's CBD vs THC? How much should you take? What's going to help you sleep vs what's going to make you anxious?
No judgment. No pressure. Just real talk.
I did this for years, all over the country. Thousands of women came through those parties. A lot of them had never touched cannabis in their lives. They left feeling educated, empowered, and honestly? Relieved that someone finally explained it to them straight.

Where I've Been
After years of hosting parties, I went deeper into the industry. Like, way deeper.
I became Denver's Cannabis Process Navigator. Basically the city's official guide helping people get licensed. I got to help over 20 folks who'd been hurt by prohibition finally get their own licenses. That work meant everything to me.
I also started teaching cannabis classes at MSU Denver. I'm an affiliate professor now. I teach Introduction to Cannabis and Cannabis in the Kitchen. I literally wrote the curriculum. Still kind of surreal that I get to do this.
Along the way, I've consulted for a bunch of brands you might know. Whoopi & Maya, Groundswell, Buddy Boy, MJardin. I've worked with over 20,000 customers and patients. I've been on the Today Show, 9News, PBS. Got named one of the Most Influential Women in Weed.
But honestly? My favorite part is still just talking to women one on one and watching the lightbulb go on when they finally understand how this plant can help them.
Why I'm Back
Healthy Honeys took a backseat for a while as I built up all that experience. But now I'm back, and I brought everything I learned with me.
We've got THCa products now. The real deal for when you want to feel something. We've got Betty's whole wellness line for targeted relief. And we've still got the CBD tinctures and topicals that started it all.
But more than the products, I'm here for the education. That's what makes us different. I'm not trying to sell you something and disappear. I want you to actually understand what you're putting in your body and why.
That's why we built all those tools on the site. The wellness quiz, the cannabinoid guides. It's the same stuff I'd tell you if you came to one of my parties.
The Bottom Line
I started this company because I wish someone had been there for me when I was struggling. Someone who could explain things without making me feel stupid or like I was doing something wrong.
Now I get to be that person for you.
Whether you're totally new to this or you've been curious for years, you're welcome here. No judgment. Just good products, real information, and a community of women who get it.
Come hang with us.
Shannon
